My fave autumnal lip products

Hello all! So it's autumn and I love it!! I am in love with the trees turning, the cosy nights in and the excitement that Christmas is only a couple of weeks away, yes! I have also love the change of my favourite lip products so it's out with the pastels and in with the berry and metallic tones. These are the products which I have not stopped using and are perfect for the autumn season.

A berry lipstick has to be a key product for me every girl must have one!! There is no better way to make any look more autumnal. My fave is the Rimmel Kate Moss matte lipstick in the colour 107.
This is a perfect berry pink tone colour which would suit anyone and everyone. I love that it is matte making it both wearable for day and for night and it's one of the easiest lipsticks to wear because it is so long lasting. Within a day I only have to touch up after eating and drinking, this lipstick stays on your lips for a long time!!

Another lip product is the Rimmel Apocalips in the colour Eclipse, this is similar to the Rimmel Kate Moss however this is much more of a darker plum berry colour. Also the formula of this one is slightly different it's more of a gloss so looks shinier on the lips. I am in love with the Apocalips range because they are like a liquid lipstick but they are so pigmented. Just like the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks they also last forever on the lips! The only time I wouldn't wear this one would be on a windy day because your hair will stick to your lips!!

As well as a berry and dark pink, I have also been trying out a metallic lip. I have been using the Mac lipstick in the colour By Design which I picked up in a local cosmetics outlet store for £10. This colour is particularly great because you can either slightly dab it onto your lips to get a slight metallic shine or apply more stronger to get a bronzed lip look. I love how different this lipstick is to any other I own and that it looks a little bit Christmassy!!

Thankyou for reading my post, well done if you made it this far!! I love reading feedback so please feel free to leave a comment below I will reply to all of them, also I have a question are there any lipsticks you have been loving recently??

Avon Mega Effects Mascara Review

Hey so this week I discovered the Avon Mega Effects mascara which could have actually changed my life! It's such a unique product because instead of the usual mascara wand it's a weird looking device which has almost the shape of an eyelid brush and a little handle (I'm really not the best at describing)!

This solves an annoying problem of mine which is when the wand of a standard mascara touches the bridge of my nose and leaves a little black mark! As well as stopping this I find this way of applying mascara so much easier and it applies the mascara much more evenly. Also I would say that if applying mascara to someone else this product would be so much easier to apply.

The actual mascara is also really great! I find it adds so much volume and length to my lashes which makes my lashes so fluttery! It doesn't smudge at all and it is so long lasting I can be wearing this for the whole day and it won't budge. It's reasonably priced, I picked mine up for £7 from the catalogue which is delivered to my house but you can also buy it online. If I had one little complaint it would be that the packaging has already got a little dirty from the mascara wand and brush but I would definitely recommend this mascara for anyone to try!

Thankyou and feel free to leave a comment have you tried this mascara what were your thoughts? Have you got a mascara you would recommend me to try? I love hearing your feedback and suggestions!

Favourite Author John Green

Heyy everyone! I thought I would write a post about my favourite author, so looking at the books I have read my clear favourite was John Green. I guess it's quite a mainstream author but his books are so good and I love the style and voice he creates in his books. I have read 3 of his books; The fault in our stars, Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns. I have loved reading all 3 of these they are all so addictive!!

If you haven't heard of The Fault in our Stars then where have you been?! It has been everywhere and it has now been made into one of my favourite films ever! It follows the story of Hazel Grace a teenage cancer patient who whilst attending a support group meets the ever so charming Augustus Waters a cancer survivor. The story follows them falling in love and sharing memorable experiences. This book takes you on a emotional rollercoaster as the characters experience romance, happiness and tragedy. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone it's is as actually amazing as everyone says it is!

After reading the Fault in our stars and discovering how amazing John Green is, I searched if he had written any other books and I found a book called Looking for Alaska. This book is again an amazing read and just the other day I heard that it is going to be made into a film, oh my days I am so excited!! And what's even better is Cara Delevigne is playing Alaska I actually cannot wait!! The story follows Miles a teenager who arrives a university and through his roommate meets Alaska Young a beautiful free sprit who he instantly falls in love with. Along with his roommate   and new friends they enjoy university life together. Until one night, a terrible accident leaving Miles having to be a detective to discover the real Alaska. This story hooked me from the very beginning, romance and tragedy mixed with a little mystery makes this book an amazing must read.

The third John Green I have read is Paper Towns this is the most recent book I have read and again like the other two, I love it! Quentin and Margo have been neighbours for their whole lives when they were younger they would play together but as they grew older and started High School Margo became more popular whereas Quentin become less well known. And then one night out of the blue he gets a knock on his window, it's Margo. They go on a crazy night time adventure as Margo ticks off parts of her bucket list. At the end of the night they return home and Quentin is excited to see Margo again the next day. However, when she doesn't show up he is instantly worried. Over a period of weeks Quentin vows to make it his goal to find Margo following the cryptic clues she has left for him to follow. For me this is the John Green book which is often overlooked but certainly is so gripping and one of the best books I have ever read it deserves just as much recognition as the other two! I would definitely without doubt recommend this book in fact I have!

John Green has to be my favourite authors all his books have a sense of mystery which is gripping and have been written incredibly well! Do you have a favourite author? Do you have any recommendations for me to read? I'm not the best reader but I will still be happy to look at any books you suggest! Thankyou for taking your time to read and comment on my blog posts it means so much!

A trip to Champneys!

Hello! First of all I want to apologise for the slight gap in blog posts recently, I had to take a little break because I started working over the summer in a well known high street store and I have started college. After receiving my gcse results, I got 3 A*s, 5 As and 3Bs I was so so happy oh my god the revision actually paid off! Anyway after receiving my gcse results my parents surprised me with a spa break to Champneys to say well done for all of my hard work.

The next weekend my mum and me set to the Champneys Forest Mere resort, it took us a little time to navigate the country roads, neither of us are the best at map reading, but we soon made it! The site was so beautiful the grounds were stunning and the spa is set next to a picturesque lake. I fell in love as we drove up the drive. The resort facilities were so good there was 2 pools, a thalassotherapy pool,  Jacuzzis, whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms, a gym, fitness classes as well as all the facilities for beauty treatments! So really you could never get bored! I also really loved the buildings and our room was so lovely. There was even sparkling water when we got into the room, I love sparkling water!!

This place is amazing, as soon as you step through the door you feel so calm and relaxed, there is no pressure and you have all the time in the world to forget about any worries and just breath! I turned off my internet so I didn't look at twitter, instagram, facebook, snapchat... it was so nice to forget about the real world and have a weekend in a bubble.

The food was so delicious oh my!! The dinner was a increadible 3 course meal I had soup for starter which was the best soup I had ever had, gnocchi for main meal which was so good and a delicious parfait for dessert. The lunch and breakfast were equally as good. The staff were so nice and friendly too, it definitely was the break even better.

I had three treatments whilst I was there a full body exfoliation, a thalassotherapy pool session and a manicure. First I had the innovative Thalassotherapy treatment which was a special pool which contained salts and mineral and had various stations with different types of jets. My favourite were the bed jets where you would lay in the pool on a bed with jets which created lots of bubbles it was bliss I could have laid there all day. I then had a full body exfoliation which made my skin feel so soft I couldn't believe it oh my. I had a lovely lady called Holly who exfoliated and moisturised my body with Champneys products which smelt so so so good I could have eaten them. I loved this treatment I felt so incredibly pampered and relaxed. The next morning I had a little manicure where the beautician filed and polished my nails, I chose a bright orange colour which was so bright and made me happy!! It lasted for a week without chipping which is pretty good for me.

Champneys was amazing I really want to go back and next time take all my friends to show how them how good it is! Me and my mum had such a lovely break it was great to get away and just relax and spend quality time together. And of course the best part was wearing a robe and flipflops all weekend and not caring what I looked like half the time! You got to keep the flipflops too yeah!

Thankyou so much for taking your time to read my blog posts, I love hearing your feedback too!

Holiday Essentials and a Duty Free Purchase!

Hello!! I've just returned from an amazing holiday in the beautiful island of Majorca, I had such a good holiday relaxing around the pool and updating my tan!! I used lots of different beauty products and in this post I'm showing you some of my favourite and most used! And also a cheeky duty free purchase which I bought in the airport before flying home.

My first essential for any beach holiday is a body scrub, I took the Spatopia Deep Sea body scrub which was perfect for exfoliating and removing all the suncream and dirt which clogs up your pores. I particularly love this scrub because it's not too rough and oh my it smells so fresh and amazing!!

As wells as exfoliating, I also find that whilst on holiday and after my skin also needs a good cleanse again to remove any sun cream and dirt which is in pores because no one wants a break out! My current cleanser which I took with me is the Garnier Micellular water, this stuff is amazing! It removes any makeup, even waterproof mascara, easily!! It leaves my skin feeling fresh and refreshed and I would really recommend it to everyone!!

Another favourite of mine is the Nivea in shower body moisturiser, this is perfect for holiday because it saves so much time when getting ready because you can moisturise your body whilst in the shower. I often find that on holiday the sun starts to dry out my skin and this is great for moisturising and it makes your skin feel so soft. This is the honey flavour and it smells good enough to eat!!

As well as my skin, I find that the sun also can make my lips very sore and dried out so I always take a lip balm with me. This year I chose the Palmers Cocoa butter because it is so rehydrating and the smell is so good (you may have notice the smell of a product is quite important to me!) but also importantly for being in the sun it also contains spf 15 so it protects your lips from the sun as well.

The sun can also be quite damaging to hair, mixed with chlorine from the pool and the everyday washing I find my hair can often feel quite dry and weak after being on holiday. My final holiday essential is the Schwarzkopf essence ultime hair mask. This stuff make my hair feel so healthy, shiny and so soft! I think it's great for stopping the damage and rehydrating your hair again.

A little duty free purchase!

In Palma airport, whilst waiting to board our plane I had a quick look around the duty free and ended up buying the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh perfume, I've had my eye on this perfume for quite a long time and when I saw it was on offer I just couldn't resist!! I have literally fallen in love with this perfume, it smells like spring and summer, it's a fresh and floral scent which is so different to any other perfume I own. I haven't stopped wearing it! And how freakin cute is that bottle, the daisies and the colours oh my I am in love with it. It has already become one of my favourite perfumes ever!!

I love reading your feedback, so feel free to leave a comment below!

PROM!

Hello everyone! On Friday 4th of July last week, I had one of the best nights of my life, Prom!! It was a Las Vegas theme with showgirls, roulette tables, playing cards and Poker chips. It was an amazing and incredible night and I thought I would share with you all the different elements of my prom.

First of all, my dress! I wore a red flowing chiffon dress with a sweetheart neckline and silver and red beaded detail. I honestly felt so beautiful and I was in love with my dress, especially because it made my feel a little taller! I bought it from a local boutique called Dress To Go and it made by a company called Sousourada.

My shoes were white silk with lots of jewels, beading and diamantes, I fell in love with them! They complimented the beading on my dress perfectly. They were from New Look and cost around £30! For prom shoes they were perfect because I was able to wear them all night long and they weren't too high to walk in.

My bag was also from New Look and cost me £25, it's similar to my shoes because it is white silk with lots of sparkling detail. It was a great size for Prom because I could fit all the different things needed to take with me.

I wore very little jewellery because I didn't want to overpower my dress or look too sparkly!! However I did wear a little pair of diamond earrings by the designer Jon Richards which is available at Debenhams. They cost me £12 and were exactly what I was looking for because they weren't too big or too small.

For my hair after a few different trials, I decided on having two waterfall braids on either sides on my head with loose curls (as you can tell I'm not the best at describing!). I chose this because I wanted my hair to look elegant and pretty and I particularly liked how a waterfall braid looks.

For my makeup I wanted to look flawless and to look natural. I loved my makeup, it was the perfect balance, I had neutral, gold eyes and a nude lip. It was the perfect no makeup, makeup look I wanted.  I also had a manicure on the morning of Prom, I chose to have shellac put onto my nails because it is long lasting and I loved the wide colour range. I decided to have glitter nails, where a pale pink base coat was applied and then a layer of glitter. I was so pleased with them I loved how sparkly they were!

Our transport to Prom was a stylish black limousine, I loved it! I went to Prom with 7 of my closest friends and the atmosphere in the limo was a mix of excitement, happiness and lots of nerves! I enjoy the trip to Prom so much I felt so special.

I hope you enjoying seeing pictures and hearing about my Prom, I had such an amazing time! Thankyou for taking your time reading my posts, I love hearing your thoughts and reading your comments!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Review

Hello! First of all I wanted to say sorry for not posting last week, it's been a very hectic and stressful past few weeks because I have been sitting my gcse exams and I'm pleased to say that I have finished them all now! I'm so happy I've left school and I now have a really long summer ahead of me! I hope all this hard work will pay off when I get my results in August.

This week I thought I would review two lipsticks which I have been loving! I had heard lots of great things about the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks and after purchasing them I know why! I own two different colours, shade 1 which is a bright red and shade 8 which is a natural nude. You can buy them from any drugstore and they cost around £5.

I love the formula of these lipsticks because I love the creamy consistency and they are very pigmented too. The colour also seems to last for a very long time which is always great. This may sound a little weird but I also love their smell, as you know there is nothing worse then finding an amazing product which has a disgusting smell!! I don't really know how to describe the scent of these lipsticks but it's delicious!

The colour 1 is such a vibrant red colour which stands out and recently it has been my go to product for a red lip. It's so versatile I could wear it during the day or add to a more dressed up outfit at night.

Shade 8 is a perfect lipstick for the no makeup, makeup look because it's a really delicate and pretty darker nude colour. I think this shade is a great nude for my skin tone and it's become my go to lipstick.

Have you tried the Kate Moss Lipsticks and do you have a favourites shade? I love reading your comments and feedback.
